Went to a fun feminist fringe show and for the most part it was great. Funny and relateable in a hard hitting emotional way. Only thing is they added all these side comments about misgendering and identity. One line was “we are being murdered by police as they debate which bathroom we can use”. It came out of nowhere and I was just like ?????? That is just simply not true. Its not happening. I’m sure they are well meaning but I’m really sick of hearing people repeat false, deliberately terrifying claims about being trans.
Trans murder rates in the UK are so small that we can’t actually get official figures because it would be tantamount to doxing individuals. Murdered by the police. Fucking stupid.
